This is a gallery where you are invited to post one of your images that you are pleased with so that folks can comment on them. So please enter the image into your own Gallery to be found in your profile, then copy the image and a link back to it, into this thread.
NO competition entries please - they have a place already and this is for those that might otherwise go unseen.
Images cannot be changed mid-week - there is always next week, and please try to comment on as many other entries as you can - we all like to have feedback. As with all galleries, silence please whilst viewing - any difficulties then please ask in a separate thread and comments please in folks' own galleries.

I have had a number of printgers and wasn't satisfied with photo printing. All failed to produce a print that matches the photo I see on my computer screen without a lot of tweeking and wasted paper and ink. Some had all the ink colors built into one cartrage. When one color ran out the I had to buy a whole new cartrage. Others had individual ink color cartrages but all didn't last very long and were expensive to replace.
I have purchased a new printer (Epson L350) It seems to have reslved all my problems. It uses an ink tank system that holds several ounces of ink. Its not much larger than the average ink jet printer. It has the capbility of printing 6000 prints before needing an ink refill and refills are reasonably priced.
I found the the first test prints of photos were a very close match to what I see on my computer screen. However the print speed is a litte slow when printing at highest resolution. About a minute for a 4x6 inch print. Normal resolution printing is faster and I don't see much difference between the two.
The printer is multi function- print, copy, scan. Print speed for other than photos are fast and approach speeds of a laser printer. Software included with the printer is the best I have seen and compatible with the new Windows. I'm going to print the full PDF manual for my HS50 XER without worrying about running outof ink.

I'm thinking of going through the old family albums, digitising the photos and putting them together again in Photobooks.
My Epson printer/scanner/copier anticipated my intentions and promptly packed up.
I remember seeing a smallish gadget on Q.V.C. shopping channel where you simply feed your old 6x4 (and smaller) prints through it (easy peasy style) and they were recorded onto a memory card within. It wasn't particularly expensive. 7day shop seem to do one similar, even cheaper.
I could do with one that could also cope with the occasional 7x5 print, ideally.
Does anyone have any experience of these things? Looking on the internet seems to throw up scanners of every conceivable shape, size and function. I wonder which would best suit my purpose?

Hi,
My FinePix HS20 monitor/backscreen does not light up/display anymore when taking pictures (still takes pictures using eyepiece).
When I go to display/view what's stored/captured it works fine.
Have I changed a setting by mistake, or do I require professional help?

Who decided that a bokeh makes for an artistic image I wonder? Is it really artistic or simply a modern trendy fad - used to excess in particular by sports photographers?

Any suggestion how you can see the effect of the filter when you turn the ring in the filter. I used to be able to see the effect with DLSR but with mirrorless nothing seem to happen.
